Transacting Value Podcast

Overview

Lost sight of yourself and looking for what you stand for? That's where we come in. Welcome to Transacting Value, a podcast filled with conversations and perspective to instigate self-worth. We've got a range of transient moments when life challenges cause us to question ourselves. It's the human condition. We discuss the impact of personal values to find purpose and clarity during experiences like:

  • Joining/separating/retiring from the military
  • Leaving home for the first time
  • First-time/long-distanced/estranged parenting
  • Mid-life career changes
  • Bullying, adolescence, generational shifts
  • Finding clarity through hobbies
  • Entrepreneurship pitfalls and lessons learned

Transacting Value showcases how each Contributor brings a unique perspective to the world. Through different opinions, backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures, we can all identify our values, strengthen our character, deepen interpersonal relationships,  and ground our self-worth.

If you're looking for a podcast where values still hold value, then you're in the right place. Welcome to the Family.

Implementation

Mission

Transacting Value is a one-of-a-kind podcast that puts burnout, boundaries, belonging, and self-worth as the primary pain points for all of our listeners. Using auditory learning, psychology, human relations, and communication strategies through digital means, we strive to hone our niche within the edutainment industry. Our focus on hosting conversations about the practical applications of personal values maintains our message, drives our consistent audio quality, and dependable delivery of media.

Vision

Transacting Value will grow to become more culturally relevant and socially resonant as a licensable podcast worldwide. Our message of values-based perspective, growth, and interaction is globally shared. But different countries and regions have different prioritization of values for character development and public application within their societies. Each country or region will also have their own way of communicating in nuance and expression. We will be their structured platform for auditory learning for the practical application of their personal values, because self-worth is worth having globally.

Josh - Host/Executive Producer

Wendi - Producer

I spent decades lost, confused, and overwhelmed trying to figure out how to integrate into society and within my sphere of influence. I grew up in a split household. I got bullied, recovered, and excelled. I joined the Marine Corps and became a divorced, long-distanced father. Even when I was physically present, I spent more time staring at walls and listening to my own demons, than spending time with my son. Increased physical distance does not have to decrease capable influence. I'm learning who I am among some of the most knuckle-dragging, supportive bunch of people that I'd stand by any day of the week.

Wendi is a full-time wife, mother and grandma, working part-time as a freelance project manager in Missouri. Her professional background includes public relations, hospitality, event planning and nonprofit management. Her current projects focus on community relations and technical writing to provide friendly and professional support to a variety of teams. In her spare time, Wendi enjoys reading, baking, history, and catching a variety of insights on news and current events via podcast.

Adam - Editor/Sound Engineer

Bethany - Copywriter

Adam's interest in audio production began over a decade ago when he started producing music as a hobby. Today, he is a full-time freelance podcast editor. When he isn't editing, he enjoys watching movies and visiting breweries with his wife and dog.

Bethany is an extroverted introvert who loves meeting new people and connecting with others. She's a freelancer who writes, transcribes, and edits text and audio files; a lover of books, contra dancing, yoga, nourishing foods, and already-been-tamed nature. She lived in South America for seven years but still manages to speak Spanish poorly. She's launched three of four children into the adult world. Just one more to go! Bethany currently lives in Florida. While she enjoys the beach, she misses the hills and trees of Alabama and Tennessee.
