Laura Brennan Ballet Unlocks Your DNA of Potential

Become a Global Ambassador for Self-Worth. Text us your feedback!

Imagine being able to look at any challenge and instantly see it as a pathway to greater potential rather than a limiting obstacle. That's the transformative perspective Laura Brennan Ballet brings to this enlightening conversation. Laura and her brother Christopher have developed a formula that transforms how people respond to challenges, tested with everyone from Olympic athletes to seven-year-old gymnasts to 75-year-old retirees. All humans possess extraordinary capabilities waiting to be unleashed. The key? Learning to position yourself in what she calls "the power seat of choice" through five principles: awareness, willingness, self-accountability, critical thinking, and energy management.

00:00:00.960 --> 00:00:10.855
The views expressed in this podcast are solely those of the podcast host and guest and do not necessarily represent those of our distribution partners, supporting business relationships or supported audience.

00:00:10.855 --> 00:00:37.170
Welcome to Transacting Value, where we talk about practical applications for instigating self-worth when dealing with each other and even within ourselves, where we foster a podcast listening experience that lets you hear the power of a value system for managing burnout, establishing boundaries, fostering community and finding identity.

00:00:37.170 --> 00:00:42.651
My name is Josh Porthouse, I'm your host and we are redefining sovereignty of character.

00:00:42.651 --> 00:00:44.947
This is why values still hold value.

00:00:44.947 --> 00:00:47.387
This is Transacting Value.

00:00:49.621 --> 00:00:51.448
They don't look at limitations.

00:00:51.448 --> 00:00:56.447
They look at how can we recalibrate a present challenge and improve on it.

00:00:56.447 --> 00:01:04.513
And I think if human beings had that mindset, we would collectively be a more advanced civilization than we are.

00:01:06.820 --> 00:01:07.962
Today on Transacting Value.

00:01:07.962 --> 00:01:12.513
What are your limiting beliefs, and are they always bad?

00:01:12.513 --> 00:01:19.584
How can you use those beliefs to ground a foundation that can give you the empowerment you need to succeed?

00:01:19.584 --> 00:01:21.667
Today's conversation.

00:01:21.667 --> 00:01:32.777
We're talking with the host, author and empowerment facilitator of the Science of Empowerment brand, laura Brennan-Ballet.

00:01:32.777 --> 00:01:43.447
I'm Josh Porthouse, I'm your host and from SDYT Media this is Transacting Value.

00:01:43.527 --> 00:01:44.067
Laura, how are you doing?

00:01:44.067 --> 00:01:45.349
I'm doing fabulously.

00:01:45.349 --> 00:01:48.174
We were already talking, having a great conversation.

00:01:57.239 --> 00:01:58.403
Challenges are on the rise, but I choose to be fabulous.

00:01:58.403 --> 00:01:58.784
Josh, you have to.

00:01:58.784 --> 00:01:59.045
Well, I guess.

00:01:59.045 --> 00:01:59.305
No, you don't.

00:01:59.305 --> 00:02:00.429
You don't have to, it is a conscious choice.

00:02:00.429 --> 00:02:02.361
Yeah, absolutely so.

00:02:02.361 --> 00:02:04.066
Can we start here for a second?

00:02:04.066 --> 00:02:18.181
I've never heard of anybody, self proclaimed or otherwise, actually being titled an empowerment facilitator and, at the risk of believing my own assumptions here, I need you to clarify if you got a couple minutes, so let's just start here.

00:02:18.181 --> 00:02:19.062
Who are you?

00:02:19.062 --> 00:02:20.324
Where are you from?

00:02:20.324 --> 00:02:24.231
What sort of things have shaped your perspective to get you into this path?

00:02:24.231 --> 00:02:25.980
The floor is yours.

00:02:26.622 --> 00:02:29.568
So I consider myself an evolutionary human.

00:02:29.568 --> 00:02:36.784
I really like to kind of ignite unlimited potential at every corner.

00:02:36.784 --> 00:02:40.052
My brother, christopher, and I have been like this since we were kids.

00:02:40.052 --> 00:02:41.685
I include him in.

00:02:41.685 --> 00:02:43.790
I always love to acknowledge him.

00:02:43.790 --> 00:02:50.348
He's the creator of the J3 equals E formula, which really sparked the writing of the science of empowerment.

00:02:50.348 --> 00:02:55.626
That really has become such a passionate mission and my brand.

00:02:56.328 --> 00:02:59.073
So we just we thought we were superheroes when we were kids.

00:02:59.073 --> 00:03:01.183
Funny little quick story.

00:03:01.183 --> 00:03:04.091
We used to drag the mattresses off our bed out the front door.

00:03:04.091 --> 00:03:05.274
Funny little quick story.

00:03:05.274 --> 00:03:12.463
We used to drag the mattresses off our bed out the front door, find a way up onto the roof, jump off, thought we could fly Small part of the roof.

00:03:12.463 --> 00:03:20.442
We weren't silly, we weren't stupid, but we really did feel that we had something in us that was magical and we just never doubted our potential.

00:03:20.442 --> 00:03:26.305
And no matter how we kind of communicated this with our parents, they never shut it down.

00:03:26.305 --> 00:03:31.868
They never were like, oh no, you can't think that way or that's impossible.

00:03:31.868 --> 00:03:34.590
They just were like, ok, cool, carry on.

00:03:35.450 --> 00:03:37.651
So yeah, I had childhood issues.

00:03:37.651 --> 00:03:55.883
We're regular kids but for some reason I had this unique ability to look outside of the challenge and recalibrate it into something that would empower me.

00:03:55.883 --> 00:04:17.307
It's just the way my brain, I think, functioned and maybe, rather than split off into, say, alcoholism or drug addiction and all of that way of becoming, I went into a very empowered exploration and I found that that empowered other people around me and that was a really beautiful exchange.

00:04:17.307 --> 00:04:19.740
So you know, I live in Connecticut.

00:04:19.740 --> 00:04:24.901
I have an amazing husband, two beautiful daughters, one of them is quite challenging.

00:04:24.901 --> 00:04:30.810
I have an amazing husband, two beautiful daughters, one of them is quite challenging, if I may add that in, I try to sell her on occasion but nobody will buy her.

00:04:30.810 --> 00:04:35.661
It's a family joke, but I love what I do.

00:04:35.682 --> 00:04:57.581
I just love what I do and I'm fearless and I want everyone else to feel what that feels like, that there's no hard stops, we really don't answer to anyone, and to challenge the present condition and go beyond it, I feel um is like our right.

00:04:57.581 --> 00:05:05.112
Why we're in physicality and I also believe coded in our, our DNA is untapped genius.

00:05:05.112 --> 00:05:26.494
I really do, and I think we find that that's almost in and of itself a challenge to think that I am brilliant or I have a genius, or I have a spark of all of creation and we see these outliers and we think they're so far, right away from us, but they're really not.

00:05:26.494 --> 00:05:29.649
They just tapped into it and they carried on.

00:05:29.649 --> 00:05:35.062
And so I like to you know whether I'm coaching one-on-one or speaking on virtual stages around the world.

00:05:35.122 --> 00:05:40.379
Whatever I'm doing, I just like to bring that up kind of on the onset if I have the opportunity.

00:05:40.379 --> 00:05:50.795
So, thank you that we're all really unique, beautiful, special individuals, though we have lots of commonalities.

00:05:50.795 --> 00:05:55.732
But don't go through life thinking that this is just what it is.

00:05:55.732 --> 00:05:56.944
It can be so much more.

00:06:00.182 --> 00:06:07.343
OK, let me break this apart for a second Untapped potential living outside challenges or outside the challenge.

00:06:07.343 --> 00:06:10.589
What do those have to do with each other?

00:06:10.589 --> 00:06:19.182
Is there a correlation, a causation, a relation at all, or are they just two separate and parallel concepts that you think are impactful and empowering?

00:06:19.182 --> 00:06:20.545
What's the relationship?

00:06:21.026 --> 00:06:24.211
Yeah, a little little bit, of course, of what you just said.

00:06:24.211 --> 00:06:37.041
But yes, I think that so many of us are really seated with the mindset that challenge is supposed to be something that is up against us.

00:06:37.041 --> 00:07:06.069
And I think when we live outside of the challenge and we look at it with a higher level of intelligence ie potential possibility, unlimited thinking now we get to have more directive over the outcome and the experience while we're going through it, so we're less at the mercy of it and we're authorizing more of the outcome, and so I think it's all entwined and it's all connected.

00:07:06.069 --> 00:07:09.625
It's just how do we look at it?

00:07:09.625 --> 00:07:14.031
And reminding everyone that it's okay.

00:07:14.031 --> 00:07:36.807
If you've thought about something in a very specific way for decades, it's also okay to release that thinking process.

00:07:36.826 --> 00:07:46.829
It's also okay to release that thinking process and redesign a whole new thought process, something that will actually move the needle for you.

00:07:46.829 --> 00:07:48.630
It's just kind of the way my brain is wired.

00:07:48.630 --> 00:07:55.533
It seems to have been pretty, but you didn't, and so now I'm going to put you in a position where you have to kind of occasion.

00:07:56.413 --> 00:08:00.514
Or we can look at that perspective as it's.

00:08:00.514 --> 00:08:10.958
Ok that I missed it along the way, but now my awareness is a little bit more tuned in and it caught my attention more than it ever has.

00:08:10.958 --> 00:08:13.519
And now ask yourself how come?

00:08:13.519 --> 00:08:18.882
Why is that showing up and kind of catching me?

00:08:18.882 --> 00:08:21.447
Maybe that's my indicator to do something about it.

00:08:21.447 --> 00:08:31.901
I don't live like in past regrets, coulda, shoulda, woulda, all right, it's done, it is it's done.

00:08:31.901 --> 00:08:32.423
Energy, it's over.

00:08:32.423 --> 00:08:32.543
Right.

00:08:32.543 --> 00:08:34.866
We can't recalibrate what we did, you know, a day ago or 12 years ago.

00:08:34.866 --> 00:08:49.240
I think the key is when you just feel that moment of awareness and you recognize it now, rather than let the pattern keep sliding by right and just be on automatic.

00:08:49.240 --> 00:08:50.845
Now you, you look at it.

00:08:50.845 --> 00:08:53.009
Why is that resurfacing?

00:08:53.009 --> 00:08:55.313
Why is that reappearing?

00:08:55.313 --> 00:08:57.442
And now, what can I do about it?

00:08:57.442 --> 00:09:03.331
How can I empower that particular challenge so that I can empower the rest of my life?

00:09:04.993 --> 00:09:05.854
Wait a minute, did you say?

00:09:05.854 --> 00:09:09.683
In power In yeah, so I.

00:09:10.304 --> 00:09:19.201
I, I N, I empower myself every day in order to empower my day, if that makes any sense.

00:09:19.201 --> 00:09:20.585
Yeah, there's two different.

00:09:20.585 --> 00:09:22.068
I look at it very differently.

00:09:22.068 --> 00:09:26.162
Yeah, I actually just um copywriting in power to empower.

00:09:26.162 --> 00:10:07.788
I have a book that I want to write on this, and I really came upon this discovery that to in power, this internal power, really is something that is so individualized, but it's open and free to all of us, and when we take the time to take in information and really apply it, it becomes knowledge, and then this knowledge has the ability to empower em others, and so it's an individualized journey to be in service for the collective, and that's just how I look at it.

00:10:08.649 --> 00:10:12.634
Okay, and then you said untapped potential to facilitate that process.

00:10:12.634 --> 00:10:15.017
Genetically is the initial reference you made.

00:10:15.780 --> 00:10:16.322
What are you talking?

00:10:16.322 --> 00:10:16.563
about.

00:10:16.563 --> 00:10:17.287
What does that?

00:10:17.326 --> 00:10:28.586
mean, yeah, so many places I go and people I talk to, and you've been around the world you find that people really have this limited mindset.

00:10:28.586 --> 00:10:31.370
They just think this is it.

00:10:31.370 --> 00:10:37.528
I was raised a certain way, I got married at a certain time, I went for this job.

00:10:37.528 --> 00:10:39.932
They, it's like this stagnation.

00:10:39.932 --> 00:10:41.821
They they're like this is it.

00:10:41.821 --> 00:10:46.624
And there's so much more beyond that.

00:10:46.624 --> 00:10:52.008
And that's in that zone of potential, Like why would you think this is all?

00:10:52.028 --> 00:11:05.018
There is what's going on in the train of thought that you cannot recalibrate it, re-engineer it, redesign it, whatever word fits the vernacular.

00:11:05.018 --> 00:11:13.461
But why would you think this is it?

00:11:13.461 --> 00:11:14.303
And so I really am curious about that.

00:11:14.303 --> 00:11:20.124
And even with my clients, when you know they come to me and you know you can feel it right away there's a lot of outside blame.

00:11:20.124 --> 00:11:37.481
There's a lot of kind of subconscious resigning of contracts, emotional, mental contracts in the mind, and then these patterns ensue, Right, and then a belief system that becomes a value system, becomes part of who we think we are, and then we just accept it.

00:11:37.481 --> 00:11:51.268
And for me it's going all back in there and really think about the structure of DNA and cellular makeup and biology communication right In the body, the mind, the consciousness.

00:11:51.268 --> 00:11:55.306
There's so much more there, how can there not be?

00:11:57.760 --> 00:12:00.230
Alrighty, folks sit tight and we'll be right back on Transacting Value.

Porthouse, tampa Bay Realtor, where values start in the home.

00:12:49.681 --> 00:13:02.686
And for me it's going all back in there and really think about the structure of DNA and cellular makeup and biology communication right In the body, the mind, the consciousness.

00:13:02.686 --> 00:13:07.601
There's so much more there, how can there not be?

00:13:07.601 --> 00:13:12.562
There's no end to right how we can think and what we can do with that thought sure.

00:13:13.245 --> 00:13:21.445
Sure, but some of that I'm assuming, I guess anthropologically has to be rooted in some degree of bias or cultural.

00:13:21.445 --> 00:13:37.403
Whatever traditions, stories know, whatever you're raised around, it's just what you know, and until you have some degree of inspiration or exposure to something other than the pattern you've gotten accustomed to, you don't think to ask any other questions and you don't know that there are other options.

00:13:37.403 --> 00:13:43.245
So is a limiting belief always a bad thing, or is it just the reality of circumstance?

00:13:43.826 --> 00:13:45.711
Yeah, I don't think anything.

00:13:45.711 --> 00:13:50.133
I mean, unless it's a very hurtful or harmful, of course, situation.

00:13:50.133 --> 00:13:53.782
I don't look at a limiting belief as a negative.

00:13:53.782 --> 00:13:59.772
I look at it as contrast to its opposition.

00:13:59.772 --> 00:14:08.028
We may not know the opposition, but, as you just said, there's podcasts, there's books, there's so much education available.

00:14:08.028 --> 00:14:15.793
Get curious, seek it out and know that what you think is isn't actually what is.

00:14:15.793 --> 00:14:23.614
It's a moment in time that you've just again been on repeat and there's something beyond that.

00:14:23.614 --> 00:14:25.086
So it's again.

00:14:25.086 --> 00:14:26.519
This is around thought energy.

00:14:26.519 --> 00:14:46.129
This is what I'm really focusing on and starting to specialize in as looking at the structure of energy around thought and not looking at it as a belief, as limiting hard stop, oh, that's been a limiting belief for a long time Now.

00:14:46.129 --> 00:14:57.379
What I've been introduced to this podcast, or this speaker, or this coach, et cetera, wow, let me expand the perspective.

00:14:57.379 --> 00:15:00.644
Let me invite in something new.

00:15:00.644 --> 00:15:02.668
Let's see what gets ignited.

00:15:02.668 --> 00:15:03.490
What can I spark new?

00:15:03.490 --> 00:15:04.250
Let's see what gets ignited.

00:15:04.250 --> 00:15:04.871
What can I spark Again.

00:15:04.871 --> 00:15:17.402
Let's have some fun, let's get curious, let's really push that zone of potential so I can be creative.

00:15:17.422 --> 00:15:18.583
I firmly believe that's why we are in physicality, right.

00:15:18.583 --> 00:15:21.448
We can take thought and manifest it into things.

00:15:21.448 --> 00:15:23.993
How cool is this?

00:15:23.993 --> 00:15:27.438
Now, I don't know what's before, what's after.

00:15:27.438 --> 00:15:28.681
Everybody's got their own beliefs.

00:15:28.681 --> 00:15:32.470
God, energy, universal energy, spiritual energy.

00:15:32.470 --> 00:15:33.932
It's all beautiful to me.

00:15:33.932 --> 00:15:35.763
What happens if?

00:15:35.763 --> 00:15:38.149
And then fill that in.

00:15:38.149 --> 00:15:44.110
All I know is right now, we can think of something and we can create it, Of course, within reason, but we have a gentleman right now.

00:15:44.110 --> 00:15:47.523
We can think of something and we can create it, of course, within reason, but we have a gentleman right now.

00:15:47.523 --> 00:15:50.051
No political conversation.

00:15:50.051 --> 00:15:55.403
Right, shooting rockets up in the air, looking to terraform another planet.

00:15:55.403 --> 00:16:02.855
Right, we have ideas of possibility, even if they're not in abundance.

00:16:02.855 --> 00:16:07.465
We look at our Einsteins and we look at, right, our Tesla and we look at an Elon Musk.

00:16:07.465 --> 00:16:08.784
I'll just use that as an example.

00:16:08.784 --> 00:16:26.509
Right, they don't look at limitations, they look at how can we recalibrate a present challenge and improve on it, and I think if human beings had that mindset, I think we would collectively be a more advanced civilization than we are.

00:16:28.000 --> 00:16:32.830
Okay, all right, what do we do with that insight then?

00:16:32.830 --> 00:16:46.312
So you talk about thought energy, and then I see your book, your podcast, your brand is the science of empowerment, not the art of creating empowering thought energy, right?

00:16:46.312 --> 00:16:52.565
So what of that is the science then?

00:16:52.565 --> 00:16:58.961
I assume rooted in fact or formula or, you know, proven scientific method type processes.

00:16:58.961 --> 00:17:01.605
How do you qualify that against thought energy?

00:17:02.467 --> 00:17:07.080
Yeah, so thought energy is embedded into the science of empowerment.

00:17:07.080 --> 00:17:12.271
The way we think has direct causation on how we feel.

00:17:12.271 --> 00:17:20.243
How we feel has direct causation on how we react, respond or interact.

00:17:21.144 --> 00:17:21.265
Sure.

00:17:21.566 --> 00:17:33.416
So when we kind of again hone in on that awareness around our thinking process, now we get to begin to empower our experiences.

00:17:33.416 --> 00:17:49.380
My particular science around empowerment comes from a very specific formula formula.

00:17:49.380 --> 00:18:06.173
My brother, christopher, created this formula as he was a USA gymnastics coach training Olympians, and he started to understand what makes that person, usually very young, have the ability to do 10,000 skills, a giant on a bar, in order to win a medal.

00:18:06.173 --> 00:18:15.032
And what are we missing within the human condition that the average person doesn't have that same mindset?

00:18:15.032 --> 00:18:24.413
And so when I started observing him with these champions, I kind of understood that they were already primed at a very young age.

00:18:24.413 --> 00:18:26.067
Right, they didn't go to proms.

00:18:26.067 --> 00:18:39.488
A lot of them didn't have boyfriends or girlfriends, right, they were in a facility just focused with mad energy to create something amazing for themselves and represent their country.

00:18:39.488 --> 00:18:53.099
I wanted to know what would it be like to create a formula that everyday people could feel like a champion, as a mother, a father, a sibling, a neighbor, someone in the community?

00:18:53.099 --> 00:19:01.234
How can we kind of tweak this formula and move it into a more simplistic application?

00:19:01.234 --> 00:19:02.363
And we do.

00:19:02.363 --> 00:19:07.861
We have a neuromuscular training facility application.

00:19:07.861 --> 00:19:09.144
And we do, we have a neuromuscular training facility.

00:19:09.144 --> 00:19:17.510
We have seven-year-old kids that come in and start training gymnastic style, training every kind of athlete my brother's trained NBA of baseball players, all of it and there's no difference.

00:19:17.510 --> 00:19:20.384
When we show them the formula, they understand it.

00:19:20.384 --> 00:19:25.595
Five principles, three fields of energy they get it.

00:19:25.935 --> 00:19:28.442
I can position myself into the power seat of choice.

00:19:28.442 --> 00:19:32.369
I get to choose whether I'm seven or 75.

00:19:32.369 --> 00:19:39.383
I get to choose how I'm going to learn, how to respond rather than react.

00:19:39.383 --> 00:19:44.148
I'm going to understand what negative energy looks like.

00:19:44.148 --> 00:19:50.695
I'm going to enact the superpower of neutrality, calm the pattern down.

00:19:50.695 --> 00:19:55.412
Now to springboard from neutrality to positivity is very easy.

00:19:55.412 --> 00:19:58.546
It really is, and you run through the formula.

00:19:58.546 --> 00:20:01.568
So there is a formula that works.

00:20:01.568 --> 00:20:04.728
I know this from over 10,000 hours of coaching.

00:20:04.728 --> 00:20:05.771
There is a formula that works.

00:20:05.771 --> 00:20:24.064
I know this from over 10,000 hours of coaching and it's amazing what it does to the mindset development of people that are at least willing to see how can I shift something that hasn't really brought me fulfillment or happiness or calm in my life.

00:20:24.064 --> 00:20:26.901
So you have to be willing, right, and you have to be open.

00:20:26.901 --> 00:20:41.901
New perspectives, release the limited thinking Again, curious, excited, have some fun, really get creative on what you can do while we're here for a very short time, under a hundred year span.

00:20:41.901 --> 00:20:43.464
Make it count, yeah.

00:20:44.487 --> 00:21:02.922
Yeah, but now it sounds like this works well for people that already have a proclivity for systems and patterns, and so for the people who necessarily don't learn the same way, I assume the outcome is going to be similar, based on your explanation.

00:21:02.922 --> 00:21:15.512
But how do you explain it then in a way that makes sense to them, if they're like this is boring, yeah, like I get the results, but I just can't make sense of the material.

00:21:16.300 --> 00:21:17.344
I've never.

00:21:17.344 --> 00:21:19.451
I've never had that happen to me yet.

00:21:19.451 --> 00:21:30.796
I've never had that equated to any of any conversation, whether I'm at a cocktail party, a barbecue, on a plane traveling to Europe, where the conversation comes up all the time.

00:21:30.796 --> 00:21:33.067
I've never had anyone say that.

00:21:33.067 --> 00:21:35.700
And real quick, I've got a fabulous little story.

00:21:35.700 --> 00:21:37.183
So we have a girl.

00:21:37.505 --> 00:21:38.287
Her name is Brooklyn.

00:21:38.287 --> 00:21:40.372
She was seven when she started with us.

00:21:40.372 --> 00:21:42.247
I think she's 14 or 15 now.

00:21:42.247 --> 00:21:43.491
She used to come in.

00:21:43.491 --> 00:21:53.083
She was just kind of like a little princess, right Typical little girl, and just didn't want to get up at six or 7 AM and start working the skills.

00:21:53.083 --> 00:22:12.766
She's actually now a regional and national champion, trained with my brother, and she would come in and, oh, she had a little pout on her face and I always had this really cool kind of synergy with her as she came into what we call the cage before she got to coach Chris and I would be like let's go, brooklyn, we got some girl power going on.

00:22:12.766 --> 00:22:18.126
Come on now, look at the principles on the wall negative, positive, neutral.

00:22:18.126 --> 00:22:19.049
Which one are you?

00:22:19.049 --> 00:22:30.001
And let me remind you, you can position yourself into the power seat of choice and I would talk to her with intelligence, like you've got this Very quickly.

00:22:30.403 --> 00:22:53.799
She realized that she was dragging in to her practice attitude, right Belief that maybe I'm not good enough, I don't want to be here, I'd rather be home watching cartoons, whatever her story was, and I used to tell her put the story outside the cage.

00:22:53.799 --> 00:22:57.682
She eventually figured out when she came in and we would lock eyes.

00:22:57.682 --> 00:22:58.683
She knew if she wasn't in a good space.

00:22:58.683 --> 00:22:59.944
She'd look at me and she'd be like hold on, coach Laura.

00:22:59.944 --> 00:23:00.946
She'd walk out the door.

00:23:00.946 --> 00:23:03.109
Okay, she was seven years old.

00:23:03.109 --> 00:23:06.294
She'd come back in, smile.

00:23:06.294 --> 00:23:07.715
I'd be like what'd you do?

00:23:07.715 --> 00:23:13.529
She goes, I left negative Bob outside, seven years old.

00:23:13.529 --> 00:23:20.423
She knew I'm carrying the attitude, the energy.

00:23:20.423 --> 00:23:24.212
She couldn't formulize the emotion and psychological impact.

00:23:24.212 --> 00:23:30.106
She knew the energy and she'd come in and the rest is history.

00:23:30.106 --> 00:23:33.153
And I've had clients from seven to 75.

00:23:33.153 --> 00:23:57.773
I have someone right now, a gentleman, and his whole life is changing At 75, his relationship with his son, with his grandchildren, breaking lifelong patterns and beliefs, because he realizes I've carried it and I can release it cool yeah, it's really okay so that's, that's the empowerment.

00:23:57.814 --> 00:23:58.415
Then I got it.

00:23:58.415 --> 00:24:00.787
Now the science, I'm with you.

00:24:00.787 --> 00:24:02.852
What about the circumstance?

00:24:02.852 --> 00:24:17.334
So bringing it sort of into maybe a bit different practicality here for a second, most of my career professionally, let's say most of my career has been in the us military with the marine corps.

00:24:17.334 --> 00:24:25.491
Most of career has been in the US military with the Marine Corps, most of which has been in the infantry, and so a lot of what we excel at happens to not be self-awareness and personal development.

00:24:25.491 --> 00:24:38.079
In fact, it's more common to tank all of our relationships that aren't professional and there's a lot of people in positions with very similar circumstances.

00:24:38.079 --> 00:24:41.910
People in positions with very similar circumstances, maybe not outcomes, but very similar circumstances.

00:24:41.930 --> 00:24:56.164
In my opinion, based on this sort of enduring exposure to high stress, occupational well stressors out of necessity, and so everything else, is that much more impactful.

00:24:56.164 --> 00:24:57.249
You bring it home.

00:24:57.249 --> 00:25:28.528
It's difficult to separate work from your family life or, to whatever degree, help them to align better, and oftentimes then the outcomes happen to be divorce, more coping strategies or alcoholism or whichever, and in some circumstances the awareness of the amount of control each of us has to change that perspective totally dissipates, or at least there's some sort of dissonance between where it is and where it actually stands.

00:25:28.528 --> 00:25:32.478
How do you recommend working through some of that?

00:25:32.478 --> 00:25:52.135
I understand you've got a business right, but but as advice, as a recommendation, because until, like you said, people are ready and willing or I guess, able and willing and ready they won't, and so this step has to sort of self-soothe first right.

00:25:53.325 --> 00:25:58.571
Yeah, this is, I'll say, a vulnerable and sensitive topic.

00:25:58.571 --> 00:26:04.859
My dad is a Marine, so I know a little bit about the mindset around this.

00:26:04.859 --> 00:26:14.739
We all know David Goggins right, he's the high level example of what creates somebody to go down or rise to that level.

00:26:14.739 --> 00:26:33.819
And you know we have to take into consideration, as you said, coping mechanisms and the right care and coaching and therapies for those this is not to say come out of that intense style of experience, just get coached and be empowered.

00:26:33.819 --> 00:26:46.275
I myself have never been on a front line and carried a gun and served my country in that manner, so I would not at all want to dishonor anything with a conversation.

00:26:46.275 --> 00:27:10.486
But there you asked about you know circumstances and first sentence in the book is regardless of the conditions in which encounters happen or the reasons why something profoundly changes us or how the messages within the story are conveyed, you are in a position to grow beyond your present state of mind.

00:27:10.486 --> 00:27:11.948
Period.

00:27:11.948 --> 00:27:12.488
Oh, in the first sentence.

00:27:12.488 --> 00:27:14.089
That's the first sentence in the book, on page 19.

00:27:14.109 --> 00:27:14.911
Oh, in the first sentence.

00:27:15.611 --> 00:27:16.011
Those are the.

00:27:16.011 --> 00:27:18.354
That's the first sentence in the book, on page 19.

00:27:18.354 --> 00:27:23.819
Individuality, chapter one, and that is an indicator of what's to come.

00:27:23.819 --> 00:27:25.020
You can.

00:27:25.020 --> 00:27:30.769
So now we would have to go into this is awareness.

00:27:30.769 --> 00:27:32.695
You can grow beyond that present moment.

00:27:33.464 --> 00:27:36.996
Second principle of the J3 equals formula is willingness.

00:27:36.996 --> 00:27:38.911
Are you willing?

00:27:38.911 --> 00:27:48.034
Now, when we move into that, right, when we start to study that environment of I'm unwilling and then right, that's where coaching comes in.

00:27:48.034 --> 00:27:56.911
Yeah, I'm willing, but, and then there's all those variations within there, then we go into the third principle, which is self-accountability.

00:27:57.944 --> 00:28:24.979
You can stay stuck, stay in that mindset, stay in that limited thinking, stay connected to alcoholism or drug addiction or divorce or bad relationships, whatever, operating at your highest and best, and this isn't again to make everyone feel like, oh, I have to be something big in order to tap into that part of me.

00:28:24.979 --> 00:28:31.773
You know it could be just being yourself in your own life and knowing that you're tapping into that.

00:28:31.773 --> 00:28:53.756
So when we take that self accountability truly within the formula and my coaching, we stop blaming any outside condition, we suspend it all to the outside, which actually leaves room now to take accountability for ourself, because we're not allowed in certain sessions.

00:28:53.756 --> 00:28:59.520
No, my mother, my father, my country, religion, politics, economics, economics.

00:28:59.520 --> 00:29:00.345
We put it all out.

00:29:00.345 --> 00:29:15.739
We just stay focused right here, zone of potential, right tapping into the dna structure of potential, knowing that you can change the mindset, you can grow, evolve, elevate and develop.

00:29:16.167 --> 00:29:19.971
All righty folks sit tight and we'll All righty folks sit tight and we'll be right back on Transacting Value.

00:29:22.729 --> 00:29:23.233
All righty folks.

00:29:23.233 --> 00:29:28.951
If you're looking for more perspective and more podcasts, you can check out Transacting Value on Weeds Across America Radio.

00:29:28.951 --> 00:29:32.595
Listen in on iHeartRadio, odyssey and TuneIn.

00:29:35.625 --> 00:29:40.496
Know my mother, my father, my country, religion, politics, economics.

00:29:40.496 --> 00:29:41.657
We put it all out.

00:29:41.657 --> 00:29:57.037
We just stay focused right here, Zone of potential, right Tapping into the DNA structure of potential, knowing that you can change the mindset, you can grow, evolve, elevate and develop.

00:29:57.037 --> 00:30:00.013
Then we go into the fourth principle critical thinking.

00:30:00.013 --> 00:30:23.214
This is where we learn to take the emotionality out of the thought process long enough to insert a little bit higher of intellectual thinking, just a little, just to plant the seed, and then you can bring back the emotion, because we all understand we can't shift like that, especially when there's patterns embedded for a long time.

00:30:23.214 --> 00:30:26.114
And then we go into the fifth principle energy.

00:30:26.114 --> 00:30:27.849
Negative, positive, neutral.

00:30:27.849 --> 00:30:28.553
Which one are you?

00:30:28.553 --> 00:30:34.087
And if you're answering negative more than neutral or positive, well, let's get to work.

00:30:36.073 --> 00:30:36.413
Simple.

00:30:37.455 --> 00:30:38.057
It really is.

00:30:38.057 --> 00:30:55.814
We complicate it because we're humans and it's built into the human condition right To self-inflict drama and chaos and disruption, and we get patterned in fights and we pick the wrong people and we, you know, stay in jobs we don't like.

00:30:55.814 --> 00:30:57.596
It's just built in.

00:30:57.596 --> 00:31:01.760
I look at things from a higher perspective.

00:31:01.760 --> 00:31:08.175
What happens if it's built in to get us to evolve?

00:31:08.175 --> 00:31:09.739
Nothing else.

00:31:09.739 --> 00:31:32.230
It's built in only to trigger a higher level of self-awareness, a higher level of willingness, a higher level of self-accountability, a higher level of critical thinking and a higher level of understanding that energy is in everything and you are energy beings.

00:31:32.230 --> 00:31:36.215
Without energy, we're not here.

00:31:37.096 --> 00:31:37.376
Sure.

00:31:37.376 --> 00:31:43.433
So then it basically goes from a state of mind into a state of being and then it's in your control.

00:31:43.433 --> 00:31:50.599
You've got ownership, you've got accountability, you've got whatever you want to do with it discernment, anything, okay.

00:31:51.144 --> 00:31:52.932
And not saying it's easy and simple.

00:31:52.932 --> 00:31:59.173
And again, don't feel bad if you're thinking well, negative, positive, neutral, oh I can't change, no, we're.

00:31:59.173 --> 00:32:14.098
The conversation is to spark the awareness into thinking beyond your present thought process, like, oh, maybe I can heal that relationship, maybe I can learn to respond rather than react.

00:32:14.098 --> 00:32:20.247
We all know road rage and we're frustrated and you know the world is quite challenging.

00:32:20.247 --> 00:32:23.017
We all know what this feels like when we're off.

00:32:23.017 --> 00:32:25.886
Our energy is just, it's really distorted.

00:32:25.886 --> 00:32:36.070
But now you know well, maybe I could read a book, maybe I can become coachable, maybe I can tune into a podcast and just kind of sit with that for a while.

00:32:36.070 --> 00:32:42.979
Let me give it a try and maybe life can become more than it is right now.

00:32:44.500 --> 00:32:44.820
Okay.

00:32:44.820 --> 00:32:57.092
Well then, based on what you just said, for something to become more than it is, you have to start out with what's the baseline, so you know where to build, what to build, how to build and move forward and move through.

00:32:57.092 --> 00:33:00.615
So this is a segment of the show called developing character.

00:33:00.615 --> 00:33:03.625
D d d, developing character.

00:33:03.625 --> 00:33:12.384
And now this is a two question segment, as vulnerable as you care to be, laura, totally up to you.

00:33:13.125 --> 00:33:25.421
But you mentioned earlier and this is for anybody new to the show, laura you mentioned earlier and this is for anybody new to the show, laura you mentioned earlier that and I'm paraphrasing but that belief systems can become value systems.

00:33:25.421 --> 00:33:50.138
My working hypothesis actually reverses that, and so I think values not only ground us, our cognition or our beliefs to a certain degree, and then also obviously guiding our actions I agree with your flow there but that they're also a shortcut to our identity and to our relationships and the conversations.

00:33:50.138 --> 00:34:08.278
And so, to me, everything you're describing on a natural level and genetic level still was nurtured as you grew, so you could learn the vocabulary, the perspective to present it effectively to whoever your audience happens to be or whatever age your audience happens to be.

00:34:08.278 --> 00:34:24.253
And so I'm curious, though, where maybe some of those things started from started from, and so my first question is what were some of the values that you were raised on or remember being exposed to while you were growing up?

00:34:24.253 --> 00:34:28.469
You think that contributed to this whole passion and process of yours.

00:34:29.331 --> 00:34:30.773
Yeah, I love that question.

00:34:30.773 --> 00:34:33.719
So again, full transparency.

00:34:33.719 --> 00:34:40.347
People meet me or listen to me or we interact and they think, oh, everything must have been pretty darn smooth for you.

00:34:40.347 --> 00:34:43.172
No, no, no, no.

00:34:43.172 --> 00:34:44.936
So I really want to be honest.

00:34:44.936 --> 00:34:55.907
I am speaking from a perspective and an actual reality of some pretty hardships growing up, as I shared with you.

00:34:55.907 --> 00:35:06.101
There was just an ability to look at the hardships and recalibrate them into something different than bringing me into the negative realm.

00:35:07.746 --> 00:35:33.012
We were taught to value love, family, tradition and even though there were things going on that were disruptors to all of that, we knew at the end of the day we were loved, whether it was by our parents, my grandmother, especially friendships, family.

00:35:33.012 --> 00:35:49.987
We knew that birthdays and Christmas and holidays and big Easter dinners, and if our fathers were moving into new businesses, my uncle was opening another new restaurant, whatever it would be, we gathered, we celebrated, even if things were off.

00:35:49.987 --> 00:35:57.699
We had the grounding of that value system family of tradition.

00:35:57.699 --> 00:36:02.367
I still have it to this day full transparency to be vulnerable.

00:36:02.367 --> 00:36:22.869
When my brother came into the home that my husband and I created and renovated this is kind of funny that we're talking about this he sat in the living room and he said you did it, you brought a little bit of her childhood into your home the tradition, the bookcases, the pictures, the artwork.

00:36:22.869 --> 00:36:25.755
We knew what he was referencing.

00:36:25.755 --> 00:36:26.818
I knew what he was referencing.

00:36:26.818 --> 00:36:28.425
He said he never lost it.

00:36:29.347 --> 00:36:52.775
So the value of aesthetic beauty that represents life, that represents life memories, those are the things that really helped and they serve me now still where I am, decades later, and I think we all have value systems that we can look at.

00:36:52.775 --> 00:37:44.552
And even for those that have had deep challenges, I'm working with someone now that was in the foster care system and it was not a nice experience of her life and we keep searching for just a spark of what she can value, because then that does give her hope and belief that not everybody is cruel, not everyone is bad, and that even though some experiences are really debilitating to our natural beauty of who we are as humans, it's not forever taken away, that we can dig deep, we can take that exploration, we can discover that beautiful moment of just creation and we can get back to that and learn how to make that a new.

00:37:44.552 --> 00:37:58.617
Even if you're 32 or 47 or 56 or 16, what has happened does not define you, unless you believe it does define you.

00:37:59.938 --> 00:38:02.603
I love that point that you're.

00:38:02.603 --> 00:38:04.286
I feel exactly the same way.

00:38:04.286 --> 00:38:14.275
Your past doesn't have to define you, but it can refine you and I think that's a very similar circumstance to what you're describing, at least in perspective.

00:38:14.275 --> 00:38:15.606
I love it, okay.

00:38:15.606 --> 00:38:34.815
So my second question then tradition, family love, what you were raised on and obviously still holding that now, but all of these podcasts you've been on, the research for your book, the people clients you've worked with, spoken to throughout your life experiences you had what's changed?

00:38:34.815 --> 00:38:37.467
Any new values now that you're older?

00:38:37.730 --> 00:38:51.681
Anything that's something you've maybe discovered realign yes, I'm learning to value the skill of listening differently than I used to.

00:38:51.681 --> 00:39:01.166
So I used to think that I valued listening because it was the polite thing to do, right?

00:39:01.166 --> 00:39:14.697
So we were raised, you know, in a little bit in that way and then I learned to value the skill of listening, to learn, to grow, to evolve it.

00:39:14.697 --> 00:39:16.605
It makes me a better human.

00:39:16.605 --> 00:39:28.409
And so when I'm out somewhere because in all honesty and this is not an egoic statement I read a lot, I study a lot, I observe a lot and I have a lot to share.

00:39:28.409 --> 00:39:35.489
That doesn't mean everyone wants to hear what I have to share, but when people do, I have a lot to share.

00:39:35.489 --> 00:39:44.170
I love life, I love my presence in the world and I feel amazing being a part of the collective in this timeframe.

00:39:44.170 --> 00:39:51.050
But when I'm out, I listen differently now and I pick up cues differently.

00:39:51.050 --> 00:39:52.713
And I'll take a moment.

00:39:52.793 --> 00:40:10.190
If I can kind of hear, like people in a grocery store or a shopping aisle and you can feel a little bit of that disruptive energy, and if I feel it's appropriate, I might break it for them oh, excuse me, can do you mind if I get that?

00:40:10.190 --> 00:40:15.811
And it breaks the pattern, and then I may look and say, wow, I love, I love your jacket.

00:40:15.811 --> 00:40:30.228
Or oh, if you guys haven't tried, it sounds very simple, but it breaks the pattern for them and one moment of a break in a pattern for another human actually seeds the break.

00:40:30.228 --> 00:40:37.487
They may not remember it as that, but somewhere maybe in their mind they'll remember god.

00:40:37.487 --> 00:40:40.329
We were having a little bit of a disagreement out in public.

00:40:40.329 --> 00:40:45.947
Do you remember when that woman walked in the store and asked us about some recipe?

00:40:45.947 --> 00:40:52.710
I was thinking about that the other day, you know, we stopped arguing and we started talking about recipes and it changed the whole.

00:40:53.650 --> 00:40:54.032
This is.

00:40:54.032 --> 00:41:06.335
I share this because sometimes people hear me speak or they read the book and they think it has to be complicated and, to go back to what we were saying before, it isn't.

00:41:06.335 --> 00:41:15.208
You can make really big changes with the smallest of effort and it helps the entirety.

00:41:15.208 --> 00:41:16.190
I think.

00:41:16.190 --> 00:41:26.431
Raise the vibration, or the frequency, the energy of our world, and I think that's important and that's not saying it in any well.

00:41:26.431 --> 00:41:35.891
You can take it however you want a religious way, a God way, a universal way, a spiritual way, but I look at it as a human way and it's important to know that.

00:41:35.891 --> 00:41:43.777
You know we all struggle, we all have challenges, but there are ways to free ourselves from those patterns.

00:41:43.777 --> 00:41:49.068
It's just there are and don't stay stuck, you don't need to.

00:42:07.240 --> 00:42:10.222
All right, folks sit tight and we'll be right back on Transacting Value

00:42:10.302 --> 00:42:12.644
Insights from being a riverboat captain.

00:42:12.644 --> 00:42:14.666
Never argue with a fool.

00:42:14.666 --> 00:42:17.907
Onlookers may not be able to tell the difference.

00:42:17.907 --> 00:42:22.320
Wherever he went, mark Twain found humor all around Humor.

00:42:22.320 --> 00:42:24.594
Pass it on From PassItOncom.

00:42:27.152 --> 00:42:33.860
You know we all struggle, we all have challenges, but there are ways to free ourselves from those patterns.

00:42:33.860 --> 00:42:39.161
There are, and don't stay stuck, you don't need to.

00:42:41.230 --> 00:42:43.175
That's powerful in itself.

00:42:43.175 --> 00:42:45.101
You could put that on a bumper sticker.

00:42:45.101 --> 00:42:47.173
Yeah, it'd be.

00:42:47.173 --> 00:42:49.701
It'd be a big bumper sticker, but you could it's.

00:42:49.989 --> 00:42:54.782
that is powerful and don't say yeah, you know, there's a book.

00:42:54.782 --> 00:42:57.438
Have you ever heard of Becoming Human?

00:42:57.438 --> 00:43:07.577
Yes, so, for anybody who hasn't, if you're unfamiliar written by a guy I'm pretty sure yes, he's dead now, I think 20 some years, but it's a relatively recent book.

00:43:07.577 --> 00:43:22.710
It's called Becoming Human, by a man named Jacques Barnier, and he talks basically about a similar process in concept, where paying attention to other people, helping other people, helps you become aware of yourself and then, in turn, it sort of begets its own cycle.

00:43:24.293 --> 00:43:33.135
There's a lot of application in what you're saying, but there's a lot of depth in, I think, how it comes across.

00:43:33.135 --> 00:43:36.963
So, for the sake of time, this is one of my last few questions for you.

00:43:36.963 --> 00:44:04.472
But if you had to simplify the power of what you're describing and for the record you can't just use your formula and cheat the answer If you had to simplify this concept of thought, energy and empowerment and the good it can do for you and other people and how to raise your awareness around it, into one or two sentences, how can people increase their awareness and do this to help themselves?

00:44:04.472 --> 00:44:05.394
How would you do that?

00:44:06.235 --> 00:44:13.135
Yeah, I have a few words at the end of the book that readership around the world.

00:44:13.135 --> 00:44:29.014
When I was selling the book first out personally on my website because I wanted that experience, I didn't want to go at an opportunity with a big publisher, but I'm like I'm going to lose the connection if I do that from the get-go, and that wasn't the point it was.

00:44:29.014 --> 00:44:38.320
I want to know, like if you ordered the book, you could go on my website, you can text me and you can say oh my God, I read this, I loved this.

00:44:38.320 --> 00:44:41.054
I'm confused about this and I would answer probably the first.

00:44:41.114 --> 00:44:51.963
You know a couple thousand people before I went on Amazon and there's a quote that I find a lot of people consistently have looked at.

00:44:51.963 --> 00:44:56.081
That they say has changed their life, changed their mindset, and it is.

00:44:56.081 --> 00:45:05.469
Do not glance changed their life, changed their mindset, and it is.

00:45:05.469 --> 00:45:34.070
Do not glance at the power, become the power, and this, for me, is all about empowering self in order to empower the collective, and it is very simple you are that power and it is very simple.

00:45:34.070 --> 00:45:34.713
You are that power, you just are.

00:45:34.713 --> 00:45:35.355
You are living, breathing energy.

00:45:35.355 --> 00:45:37.822
However you think you got here, however, synchronicity, coincidence, where you come from, where you're going, none of it matters.

00:45:37.822 --> 00:45:38.626
You are that power, it resides in you.

00:45:38.646 --> 00:45:42.253
And so I would say, to keep it simple any challenge, look at it as a contrast mechanism for change.

00:45:42.253 --> 00:45:43.976
It's not a hard.

00:45:43.976 --> 00:45:44.418
Stop.

00:45:44.418 --> 00:45:53.780
Just look at the challenge, get creative, have a little fun, even if it doesn't feel like it should be fun, but try to.

00:45:53.780 --> 00:45:58.052
When I say fun, even if it doesn't feel like it should be fun, but try to.

00:45:58.052 --> 00:45:59.896
When I say fun, almost bring that childlike playfulness in it.

00:45:59.896 --> 00:46:11.215
Right, because when we're kids, I mean some of us can be bratty, but we tend to be pretty cool we're bratty for a minute and then we're playing and having popsicles or cotton candy or whatever, pretty quickly.

00:46:11.215 --> 00:46:17.869
Yeah, just remember that you're the power, and I don't mean that it I don't, it's it's.

00:46:17.869 --> 00:46:25.300
I don't mean it to sound like you are the power, but you are the power.

00:46:25.300 --> 00:46:27.764
You have in you.

00:46:27.764 --> 00:46:32.277
We have elements that make up the universe in us.

00:46:32.538 --> 00:46:44.342
I mean, come on like, yeah, we're unique that's exactly what I was picturing all of the cosmic energy from whatever creation story you decide to believe or ascribe to.

00:46:44.342 --> 00:47:06.494
The one thing that they all have in common is everything expanded in a vacuum, right, so it either just appeared or it exploded, or whatever the the precursor was, but in a vacuum, which is space, which is indisputable by any other, I'm pretty sure religion and perspective right.

00:47:06.494 --> 00:47:15.581
Then it keeps going, yeah, but then you've got these things planets, the sun, stars, whatever, it is right, exhibiting some degree of gravity.

00:47:15.581 --> 00:47:16.952
So it pulls it back.

00:47:16.952 --> 00:47:34.244
And so, if all of these things are constantly ebbing and flowing and fluctuating through every cell in our body and that's what we're interpreting or feeling, or whatever this thought, energy might, might be, yeah, pretty hard to dispute that that's going to do something for you.

00:47:34.244 --> 00:47:39.121
You know you're not shooting lightning, but but there's, I think, few other accurate analogies.

00:47:39.829 --> 00:47:42.210
And I want to share and this is a little bit quick unique.

00:47:42.210 --> 00:48:00.375
So my husband and I were in France recently and we went to a very high level restaurant which the chef there is considered, right at this moment, the world's greatest chef right at this moment, the world's greatest chef.

00:48:00.375 --> 00:48:06.438
They're very, very much into the land and very sustainable farming and the way she does everything is amazing and I can't share all of it because it's just an experience.

00:48:06.438 --> 00:48:09.507
But they were telling me I love oysters.

00:48:09.507 --> 00:48:11.112
I grew up eating oysters.

00:48:11.112 --> 00:48:16.815
My mom would pick them right out of the channel in Rhode Island on the shoreline and make, you know, beautiful dishes with them.

00:48:16.815 --> 00:48:24.543
I don't eat them so much because I have a friend that's a chemist and she told me if I looked under the microscope I wouldn't eat raw oysters anymore.

00:48:24.543 --> 00:48:58.606
However, one of the delicacies of this main course several course dinner we had were these oysters, and they explained that there's an AI generated system now that they take the oysters out, like right at the very beginning, and they take them out of the roughness of the ocean and they put them in this man-made lagoon and they move the oysters through the tides based on the sun rather than the moon.

00:48:58.606 --> 00:49:05.878
And when you eat these oysters they come out, they're like pure velvet.

00:49:06.710 --> 00:49:14.405
Now, the reason I bring this up is because oysters and the ocean right To create the pearl, it's that right.

00:49:14.405 --> 00:49:20.079
They go through all that trial and tribulation and some of them create these beautiful pearls and you eat.

00:49:20.079 --> 00:49:29.659
Sometimes you get the little grid of sand which is nature and right, and that's all on the moon, all the structure right Of all the energy and the cycles Right.

00:49:29.659 --> 00:49:35.719
And here is a system that shifted the cycle and put it into the sun.

00:49:35.719 --> 00:49:48.871
And my point is energy is energy, whether it's real, whether it's a little bit kind of generated through some new sciences or new technology.

00:49:48.871 --> 00:49:52.958
But these baby pearls grew up understanding.

00:49:52.958 --> 00:49:55.324
So back to our mindset.

00:49:55.324 --> 00:50:00.432
We only think what we think because it is what we were told.

00:50:00.432 --> 00:50:02.896
It doesn't make it fact.

00:50:02.896 --> 00:50:11.313
It can shift at any point if you're open to seeing that a shift is possible.

00:50:13.297 --> 00:50:14.998
Okay, Okay.

00:50:14.998 --> 00:50:22.074
Well, for more clarity, for more insight, for people to listen to your show or get your book.

00:50:22.074 --> 00:50:24.056
Where do we go?

00:50:25.077 --> 00:50:28.943
So you can go to wwwthescienceofempowermentcom.

00:50:28.943 --> 00:50:39.525
There is a copious amount of fun, education, information easily applied to become knowledge.

00:50:39.525 --> 00:50:45.710
And then you begin to create, which I write about in the science of empowerment your internal living library.

00:50:45.710 --> 00:50:52.775
You get to start creating this living force of knowledge and application and exploration.

00:50:52.775 --> 00:50:54.356
Knowledge and application and exploration.

00:50:54.956 --> 00:50:58.099
Nothing has to be, as I said, a hard stop.

00:50:58.099 --> 00:50:59.239
You can read a book.

00:50:59.239 --> 00:51:03.081
It can change your life and then, three years later, read another book and change your life again.

00:51:03.081 --> 00:51:07.525
But keep changing and shifting and growing and evolving.

00:51:07.525 --> 00:51:14.311
Stay curious, infuse a little bit of fun in your day, even if it's a bad day.

00:51:14.311 --> 00:51:18.592
Try to find something to just cross a little smile on your face.

00:51:18.592 --> 00:51:19.795
It's good for the soul.

00:51:20.576 --> 00:51:29.501
And yeah, I'm at LinkedIn and I have a new YouTube channel, the science of empowerment brand new, I think I've got like a hundred subscribers on there.

00:51:29.501 --> 00:51:31.391
But really unique is I'm going to start a weekly podcast on the YouTube channel.

00:51:31.391 --> 00:51:35.057
But really unique is I'm going to start a weekly podcast on the YouTube channel.

00:51:35.057 --> 00:51:40.706
So people who maybe I mean the book isn't very expensive on Amazon, you can buy it there.

00:51:40.706 --> 00:51:49.610
But for people maybe who can't quite do coaching at the moment, you're going to have free coaching from the Thought Energy Expert on the Science of Empowerment YouTube channel.

00:51:49.610 --> 00:51:52.655
So the website, amazon, order the book.

00:51:52.655 --> 00:51:57.625
Reach out to me, find me, text me, you know I, you know.

00:51:57.625 --> 00:52:00.309
Reach out to me on LinkedIn, facebook and Instagram.

00:52:00.309 --> 00:52:10.204
I'm not so much of a social media person, but I am connecting because people are wanting me to be out more and connect with me in those areas.

00:52:10.204 --> 00:52:11.875
So it's what I'm doing and I'm always doing great podcasts with hosts like you.

00:52:11.875 --> 00:52:14.382
So it's what I'm doing and I'm always doing great podcasts with hosts like you.

00:52:15.351 --> 00:52:16.014
Oh, thank you.

You can click show more and in the dropdown description for this conversation, you will also find links to the entirety of Laura's the Science of Empowerment.

00:52:35.434 --> 00:52:47.101
Brand links YouTube, the website, Amazon, LinkedIn so you'll be able to get in touch with her even as you're listening to this conversation, which is a pretty sweet exchange of energy, in my opinion as well.

00:52:47.101 --> 00:52:52.541
But, Laura, I appreciate the opportunity and your perspective.

00:52:52.541 --> 00:52:58.719
There's so many other things that I want to talk about with you and I don't have the time right now, since we're out.

00:52:58.739 --> 00:52:59.782
I have to do another one.

00:53:01.090 --> 00:53:03.420
Be careful what you wish for, because the invite email is coming.

00:53:03.420 --> 00:53:07.536
So, yeah, we'll absolutely figure out a time to have you back on.

00:53:07.536 --> 00:53:22.121
I'd love to talk some more about this and some of these other things that you're getting into as well, but for now, I appreciate your time and your perspective and your energy and your passion and your delivery and everything you put into this conversation.

00:53:22.121 --> 00:53:23.775
So thanks for coming on.

00:53:23.775 --> 00:53:24.096
The show.

00:53:24.476 --> 00:53:25.300
It's been an honor.

00:53:25.300 --> 00:53:27.958
I really appreciate you sharing time with you.

00:53:27.958 --> 00:53:30.297
I love human to human connection.

00:53:30.297 --> 00:53:31.996
I think it's quite amazing.

00:53:31.996 --> 00:53:33.516
So thank you for the opportunity.

00:53:34.670 --> 00:53:35.952
Even if it is digitized.

00:53:35.952 --> 00:53:38.559
I agree, yeah, yeah.

00:53:38.579 --> 00:53:40.143
Super cool, even in the digital.

00:53:41.230 --> 00:53:41.871
That's it.

00:53:41.871 --> 00:53:42.932
That's it.

00:53:42.932 --> 00:53:51.652
Yeah, this was a really cool conversation to everybody else who's listened to the conversation Continuing listeners, new listeners, obviously.

00:53:51.652 --> 00:53:52.773
